Jon Krolewicz

Jon Krolewicz is a racecar driver, driving coach and journalist with 28 years of varying degrees of motorsports experience, 21 of those years driving.

Krolewicz has raced everything from Showroom Stock to LMP1 and many levels of formula cars and touring cars in between. Currently he spends most of his time running SeatTime Driving Days, driving in various series and coaching karters and recreational motorsports drivers.

Jon Krolewicz has comprehensive motorsports experience with more than 20 years focused on driving, coaching, journalism, event/team management, and business management.

He has applied his depth of expertise in these areas to support various initiatives including major Subaru and Honda marketing campaigns, club events, guided ride and drive events and competition and promotional management for multiple teams where he guided racing budgets and strategic planning for team and sponsor exposure.

To increase outreach to consumers, Jon has written and done photography for various newspapers, magazines and web sites and he has created newsletters and publicity materials for teams and clubs both in print and on the web.

Jon has extensive driving expertise, where he has driven in everything from Showroom Stock to Le Mans Prototypes in series which include SCCA and Grand American Road Rolex Series. Throughout his racing experience, he has held SCCA, NASA, SVRA, PCA, Grand Am and FIA licenses. He has spread his love of motorsports through coaching hobbyists and aspiring racers in major motorsports events and track-day and in motorsports country club/track day settings. As the owner of SeatTime Driving Days for 10 years, he has demonstrated his ability to manage a profitable business through customer relationships and high-quality service delivery.

Professional Experience

Management and Consulting
End to end motorsports management including scheduling, budgeting, hospitality, and social media campaigns. Developed and successfully implemented both long and short-term plans to increase market awareness and performance.

Track Manager, Roebling Road Raceway – Was responsible for overseeing staff, daily operations, scheduling, long-term planning, event operation, accounting, media and marketing – including web design, content and updates and social media presence. Increased Q1-Q3 profits 165% compared to previous year.

Competition and Promotions Specialist- Worked with Automotosports, Mongoose Motorsports, 42Autosports, Continental Tire, and Boxer4Racing. Designed and implemented motorsports campaigns involving both on-track competition and marketing.

Competition Manager - Led promotions and customer relationship management for MarshPoint Motorsports. Organized the race team and developed race team strategy including event schedules and resource allocation.

Consultant- Supported SCCA World Challenge B-Spec team Garrett Motorsports and Non-Profit Kaleidolinks through guiding and developing market strategy, budgets, and event schedules.

Business Management
Comprehensive business administration experience to maintain sales, public relations, projects and increase profitability. Extensive client relationship management with current customer base and developing and implementing marketing plans to increase clientele.

Business Assistant - Has worked front office of sales with experience in Quickbooks, credit card sales, and banking at 42Autosports and MarshPoint Motorsports. Developed and maintained client base to increase product and service sales, maintained web presence including web-store interface and product updates.

Owner - Has operated SeatTime Driving Days for eleven years. Handles all business functions including accounting, contracts, etc. Analyzes outreach, customer retention and new customer acquisition to generate more profit.

Event Management
Sixteen years of planning and executing motorsports events. Applied specific knowledge of motorsports, competition, and event dynamics to ensure successful customer experience and achievement of marketing goals. Supported high profile companies in consumer outreach through direct customer contact and production of media for national TV commercials.

Event Manager - As owner of SeatTime Driving Days, coordinates with track management to schedule dates and appropriate number of staff, request equipment, and coordinate insurance. Works with track management to ensure safety of drivers during the event by developing a culture of safety with participants including discussing risk/reward decision making on a racetrack. Works with all levels of experience from IMSA and NASCAR drivers to recreational track-day participants and adolescent karters utilizing observation, video and data (Traqmate, Pi, Stack, Race-Keeper) to analyze and improve driving, racecraft and set-up strategy. Has worked with motorsports clubs including SCCA, NASA, Ferrari Club, Porsche Club, and World Karting Association; track day programs including Palmetto Motorsports Club; and private students.

With more than 20 years of competition driving, provides an understanding motorsports from the most basic of levels. Driven with multiple sanctioning bodies, venues, and levels – starting in World Karting Association, moved up through the SCCA (Solo, Time Trial, Club Racing and Pro Racing) and has raced with NASA, PCA, HSR, Grand-Am/IMSA/ALMS. Has been national champion and has hundreds of victories throughout his driving career. Driven in multiple endurance events working with teammates to improve results through data, set-up and strategy.

Amateur Club
As a 20-year member of the SCCA, has served in multiple positions of an SCCA club—Solo Chair, starter at Time Trial events, and worked as a race chair, grid, timing and scoring and flagging and communications. Additionally served on the board of the South Carolina region for many years as a Director At Large, Secretary, and Assistant Regional Executive. As a long time SCCA member and volunteer, understands each position of the club racing structure, group requirements, and their individual specialties.

Worked in various capacities as a reporter and photographer for the past 17 years specializing in producing promotional material, press releases, and use of social media to reach multiple audiences. Has been published in The Indianapolis Star, The State Newspaper of Columbia, SC, and Sports Car and Pylon magazines.
